Bangladesh Police undergo major reshuffle

Bangladesh Police has undergone another major reshuffle, with 62 officers of the rank of Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl SP) transferred to new postings.

The changes were announced in a notification signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam on Sunday (September 14).

According to the notification, the Ministry of Home Affairs has approved the transfers and promotions in the interest of public service.

The officers have been instructed to hand over their current responsibilities and join their new workplaces by September 21. Failure to do so will result in them being considered “stand released” from their present posts with effect from September 22.
