Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital on Saturday afternoon to inquire about her health condition, reports the Daily Sun.

He arrived at the hospital around noon, where Khaleda Zia has been under close medical supervision due to multiple health complications.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Ameer Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque also visited the ailing former prime minister. Just before his visit, leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) met with her medical team to learn about her current condition and ongoing treatment.

The NCP delegation included Senior Joint Member-Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara, Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary and Chief Organiser (Southern Region) Hasnat Abdullah.

Khaleda Zia has been receiving intensive care at Evercare Hospital for several days. According to her doctors, she remains in a critical state and requires advanced medical attention.
