Public access to the National Memorial in Savar has been restricted for three days ahead of the Victory Day celebrations on December 16.

According to an official handout issued today, the memorial premises will remain closed to visitors from 13 to 15 December to ensure the area remains clean and prepared for the national observance.

On December 16 morning, public entry will also remain suspended until 8:30 am as VVIPs, VIPs, and invited guests take part in the traditional wreath-laying ceremony.

As part of the day’s arrangements, no posters, banners, or festoons will be allowed along the route from Gabtoli, Dhaka to the National Memorial.
