Sharif Osman Hadi's namaz-e-janaza is scheduled for 2 pm (BST) today at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital.

Those wishing to attend the janaza are requested not to carry any bags or heavy objects. Additionally, the government has imposed a ban on flying drones in and around the Sangsad Bhaban area during the ceremony.

Earlier, the remains of Osman Hadi arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Friday evening via a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight, amid tight security and widespread public mourning.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG 585, carrying the body of Osman Hadi—who passed away while undergoing treatment in Singapore—landed at the Dhaka airport at 5:49 pm. The flight had departed from Singapore Changi International Airport at 4:03 pm (2:03 pm BST) en route to Dhaka.

On December 12, Hadi was shot while traveling in a battery-run auto-rickshaw on Box Culvert Road, under the jurisdiction of the Paltan Police Station. After a six-day battle for his life, he breathed his last on Thursday night while receiving treatment at a hospital in Singapore.
