According to the announced schedule for the 12th National Assembly elections, the election campaign ended at 8 am on January 5. Now the wait is for the polls on January 7. There is no lack of enthusiasm among the general voters for voting late at night. There are 22 mobile teams consisting of law enforcement officers and executive magistrates. The voters of other upazilas living in the city have moved from the district headquarters to their respective upazilas a day before, resulting in a largely deserted suburb. Due to the election restrictions, long-distance bus and boat services from the district have been stopped.

Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh, the boat candidate of the ruling Awami League, and ATM Shahidul Islam, the Jatiya Party's plow candidate, are contesting in the Bandarban 300 seat.

On January 4, Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh conducted his last election campaign for the 12th National Assembly elections through a large public meeting and election procession at the historical Raja Field of the district.
On the other hand, Langal's candidate ATM Shahidul Islam campaigned for the last time and went to the voters.
The topic of this election has come up in various ways to the common people of the district, as BNP, another major political party of the country, did not participate in the election, there is no candidate of BNP in the 300th Bandarban seat.
Meanwhile, in this election, the Jatiya Party does not want to let the boat round the empty field in this seat alone. Since the Jatiya Party had a strong position in this seat in the past, the participation of the Jatiya Party in this seat in the 12th National Parliament election has raised new hope among the active supporters of the Jatiya Party.
In the public opinion poll, Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh, the candidate of the boat who won the last 6 parliamentary elections, is ahead and there is a new tide among the active supporters of the Jatiya Party in Bandarban.
In Bandarban, known as the district of Sampriti, no untoward incident has happened between the activists and supporters of the two political rival candidates regarding the election. District Commissioner and District Returning Officer Shah Mojahid Uddin said that both the candidates who participated in the election have carried out their campaigns in compliance with the electoral restrictions.

On January 4, the Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer told reporters at the office of the District Returning Officer that there are 182 polling stations in Bandarban, including 12 helicopter stations. Election equipment has already been delivered to 12 stations by helicopter. Voting equipment has been sent to all the upazilas. 137 important polling stations and 45 ordinary polling stations have been identified in Bandarban. He said that 22 mobile teams under the leadership of the Executive Magistrate will be in the field to maintain law and order. Already 42 platoons of BGB, about twelve members of the police and one hundred and eighty members of Angibut Ansar forces are deployed. , as well as the army will be engaged.

The total number of voters in the district is 2 lakh 88 thousand 30 people. According to the announced schedule, the next 12th National Assembly election will be held on January 7th, polling will start from 8:00 AM and will end at 4:00 PM.

Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Shah Mojahid Uddin told reporters that the Election Commission has allowed the polling results to be collected from remote polling stations in remote areas of Bandarban through the wireless network of the law enforcement agencies and verified WhatsApp, and the election commission has given permission to announce it privately to the election commission.
