The boat won for the seventh time in Bandarban

In the 12th National Assembly elections, the private results have been announced in Bandarban 300 seat. Based on the information obtained from a total of 182 polling stations in the district, Bir Bahadur Ushaising MP, the candidate of the boat symbol, has won privately.
After the polling in 182 polling stations of 34 unions in 7 upazilas of the district ended without any conflict, the results of each center started coming after 5 pm, in the results of each center, Awami League candidate Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh is ahead of Jatiya Party candidate ATM Shahidul Islam.
In the results of 182 polling stations privately, Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh won privately by getting 1 lakh 72 thousand 671 votes. With this, he was elected MP for the seventh consecutive time.
His only rival candidate ATM Shahidul Islam got 10 thousand 361 votes.
The total number of voters in seat No. 300 is 2 lakh 88 thousand 30 people. Voting was done through ballot in 727 polling booths of 182 polling stations of the seat. Among them, 1 lakh 48 thousand 583 male voters and 1 lakh 39 thousand 446 female voters.
Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Shah Mojahid Uddin said that 64.9 percent of the total votes have been cast.
District Returning Officer Shah Mojahid Uddin privately declared Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh as the winner of seat No. 300 in the control room of the District Commissioner and District Returning Officer's office on Sunday (January 7).

It should be noted that Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh was elected Member of Parliament in Bandarban 300 seat in 1991, 1996, 2001, 2008, 2014 and lastly on 30th December 2018 for the sixth time.
He has been serving as the Minister of State for the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs since January 12, 2014 as a member of the Cabinet of the Awami League Government and since January 5, 2019, he has been serving as the Minister of the same Ministry.
