Popular singer Asif Akbar, known for his blunt and outspoken nature, has said he would like to ask actress Pori Moni a direct and personal question if he ever meets her.

Speaking as a guest on a private television program, Asif said Pori Moni appears to be somewhat unpredictable based on what he sees publicly. He said he would ask her when she plans to “give people some relief” by settling down and bringing stability to her life.

According to Asif, he would also want to know how she plans to do that. He added that he has spoken to Pori Moni about the issue before and described her as someone who remains cheerful and takes things very casually. He said this carefree attitude is also one of her positive qualities.

Asif also shared that he has questions for film star Shakib Khan. He said Shakib’s speaking voice during dialogue delivery sounds consistent and strong, but his voice becomes noticeably thinner during songs, which Asif finds mismatched.

Referring to legendary playback singers such as Andrew Kishore, Milu, and Syed Abdul Hadi, Asif questioned how Shakib enjoys lip-syncing to voices that, in his view, do not suit his screen presence. He emphasized that playback singing follows its own rules and requires careful artistic attention.

In addition, Asif said there are other artists he would like to question directly. Speaking about renowned band icon Mahfuz Anam James, he said that despite being a major figure in the music industry, James is rarely seen participating in national movements or speaking up during times of social or industry-wide crisis.

Asif noted that while James often shares various topics on social media, he remains largely silent on issues affecting artists or the country as a whole.
