Bandarban Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has constructed the first uniblock road in Bandarban district.

In Saingya Danesh Para area of Rowangchari Upazila of the district, under the implementation of LGED Bandarban, Directorate of Local Government Engineering, 900 meters of modern eco-friendly Uniblock road has been constructed at a cost of about 1 crore 22 lakhs, 1 culvert and drain have also been made.

Although the traditional brick road is known to all, the construction of the road in the area with this uniblock for the first time in the district has become a center of interest and excitement among the local public.

Uniblock bricks are generally made of a mixture of sand, crushed stone and cement. which is sun-dried to make it usable. This entire process does not harm the environment, hence it is also eco-friendly.
While in mountainous Bandarban many bricklayers are making bricks illegally, destroying the environment and burning forest wood, despite the ban, Uniblock is going to make a big contribution to the development of the communication system due to the construction of Uniblock roads in this hilly township.

Meanwhile, due to the construction of the road, the long-term hope of the local people of this area has been fulfilled. Especially during the monsoon season, the road in this hilly area becomes almost unusable due to the accumulation of mud.

As a result, the local people, and students studying in schools and madrasas had to suffer in the streets.
During the rainy season, the vehicles could not move on the muddy roads, as a result, the marketing and transportation of the crops produced by the land was a lot of suffering.

Residents said that due to the construction of the road, our long-cherished hopes have been fulfilled, earlier we had to cross the mud, but now we can travel very easily.

Moulvi Ayub Ansari of the local mosque said that the local people are very happy with the construction of the road. It used to take 1 hour for the public and school students to go to Bandarban. Now we are reaching Bandarban Sadar in 15 minutes. Thanks to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on behalf of the local people for this development of the communication system in the area. He said.

Due to the road, people's traffic is also increasing in the ghat area, now there is no need to cross the Sangu River by boat to the destination.

Touhidul Islam, a local farmer, said that we farm on the banks of the Sangu river. It used to be very difficult for us to transport the crops. Because the roads were not good, cars did not want to come here. Now because of this road, there is no problem in transporting the crops of the land, and we can easily produce agricultural products. I can take the products to the market and get good prices.

Meanwhile, Md. Morshed, a member of Ward No. 1 of Taracha No. 2 UP, expressed his happiness with the local residents because of the construction of the first uniblock road in his ward. He said in the regional language, "The people of the area are very happy on the road, Io Khushi Aiyi".

The first uniblock scenic road in the district has been constructed by the contracting firm M/s Baraulia Enterprises.

Abdul Mannan Rubel, the owner of the organization, said that he was a little afraid to do this road work with uniblocks for the first time. However, I accepted the challenge to do the road construction work in the first uniblock of the district.
Regarding the district's first road built with beautiful environment-friendly uniblocks, Bandarban Local Government Engineering Directorate Executive Engineer Md. Ziaul Islam Majumder said that all these projects are being undertaken to increase the use of uniblocks to control brick kilns to prevent environmental damage due to climate change by 2025.
As a result of road construction with eco-friendly unibulk, on the one hand, the road looks beautiful, its durability is long and the maintenance cost is also low. Therefore, it is gaining popularity day by day.
