A total of 38 candidates have been declared valid across the six parliamentary constituencies of Sirajganj. Both the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jamaat-e-Islami have single candidates in all constituencies. However, sources say that under seat-sharing arrangements, Jamaat may leave two seats to its alliance partners—the NCP and Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis. If alliance partners withdraw their nomination papers as part of this understanding, the total number of candidates may decrease.

Sirajganj District Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary Shahidul Islam said that under the seat-sharing arrangement, Sirajganj-6 (Shahjadpur) has been allocated to the NCP. Sirajganj-3 (Rayganj and Tarash) may be allocated to Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis, although a final decision has not yet been made. Once the decision is finalized, Jamaat-nominated candidates in these two constituencies will withdraw their nomination papers.

Sirajganj Election Office Additional Election Officer Mohammad Mashiur Rahman said that initially 56 candidates collected nomination forms across the six constituencies, of whom 45 submitted their nominations. After scrutiny, the returning officer rejected 13 nomination papers and declared 32 candidates valid. Later, through appeals, the Election Commission declared six more candidates valid. At present, the total number of valid candidates stands at 38.
