Manchester City have strengthened their defense by signing Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guéhi on a five-and-a-half-year contract.
British media outlet BBC reported that City paid £20 million to sign the 25-year-old English centre-back. However, Pep Guardiola’s side have not officially disclosed the transfer fee.
Earlier this month, City also brought in winger Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. Guéhi, who has made 26 appearances for the England national team, came through Chelsea’s academy system. After a spell at Swansea City, the English defender joined Crystal Palace in 2021.
During his time at Palace, he made a total of 188 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists.
