According to the recommendations of the new government Pay Commission, primary school teachers’ salaries will see a significant increase. It has been proposed to raise the current salary of teachers in the 13th grade from 11,000 taka to 24,000 taka.

Under the new pay scale, the minimum salary for government employees has been recommended at 20,000 taka, while the maximum salary has been set at 160,000 taka. In particular, higher rates of salary increases have been proposed for employees in grades 11 to 20, along with increases in tiffin allowances and other benefits.

Pay Commission Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan stated that implementing the proposal would require 106,000 crore taka. The commission has already completed its work ahead of schedule, and a special committee will now be formed to oversee implementation.
