The spread of misinformation, trolling, and bullying targeting celebrities on social media is increasing at an alarming rate. Although she had remained silent on the issue for a long time, actress Shabnam Bubly has now reached her breaking point. Recently, while attending the inauguration of a showroom in the capital, she expressed her anger against online trolling and bullying and also hinted at taking legal action. The actress said that what hurts her the most is women bullying other women.

Expressing her frustration, Bubly said, “Sadly, these days it’s women who are trolling other women the most. Even some hijab-wearing sisters are spreading false information and making videos based on rumors. I think this is not just about humiliating an individual, but also an insult to our religion. In Islam, backbiting is considered one of the most heinous acts.”

Bubly added that many of her colleagues have advised her to take legal steps. Although she had stayed quiet for a long time, she now believes that this silence has only allowed cyberbullying to increase further. For this reason, she called on the country’s cyber crime authorities to take prompt action.

At the event, Bubly also clarified her position on the country’s political situation. She stated, “I have never been affiliated with any political party. Serving the country does not require being involved in politics—one can stand by people from any profession.”

It is worth noting that after a video of Bubly dancing at a recent event went viral, widespread rumors began circulating online about her “baby bump” and the possibility of her becoming a mother again. It is believed that these rumors and negative comments prompted the actress to finally take a firm stance against online trolling and bullying.
