“Call Me Brother, Not Sir,” Says Tarique Rahman at Youth Policy Talk

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has called for a more informal and inclusive political culture, asking young people to address him as “brother” instead of “sir” during a youth-focused policy dialogue in Chattogram.

Engaging directly with students, he discussed plans to support young entrepreneurs through easier financing options and proposed student loan facilities for those seeking higher education abroad.

Rahman also outlined his party’s positions on education reform, environmental protection, healthcare, anti-corruption measures, and equal opportunities for people from both hill and plain regions. Emphasizing accountability, he stated that political commitments must ultimately be judged by voters.
