Massive Data Leak Exposes Login Credentials of Nearly 48 Million Gmail Users

A major cybersecurity alarm has been raised after a massive online database exposed over 140 million login credentials, including nearly 48 million Gmail accounts. The data was found stored on an unsecured server without any password protection or encryption.

Security experts believe the leaked information was collected over time using infostealer malware, which secretly records user keystrokes and login details. In addition to Gmail, accounts from social media, email services, and streaming platforms were also compromised.

Experts warn that reused passwords significantly increase the risk of further account takeovers. Users are strongly advised to change their passwords immediately, enable multi-factor authentication, and use unique passwords for each service.
