Chief Adviser Prof Dr Muhammad Yunus today directed the armed forces to discharge their duties with professionalism, neutrality, and inter-institutional coordination so that the upcoming 13th national election and referendum can be held in an inclusive, fear-free, and fair manner.

He made the remarks at an exchange of views with senior armed forces officers at the Helmet Auditorium of Army Headquarters.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the update in a press release today.

At the outset of the meeting, the chief adviser mentioned the armed forces’ “glorious and responsible role” in meeting the country’s needs and later expressed his thanks and gratitude for maintaining law and order with patience and professionalism over a long period, the release said.
