Bangladeshi journalists will be able to cover the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup on the ground as the International Cricket Council has begun issuing accreditations following a verification process.

More than a hundred journalists from Bangladesh applied to cover the tournament, which begins on February 7 in India and Sri Lanka. After receiving the applications, the ICC contacted applicants in phases, requesting additional documents and information.

Following the completion of the verification process, a number of Bangladeshi journalists have already received their accreditations from the ICC office. Sources confirmed that no applications were cancelled and that approvals are being granted gradually.

Although some confusion arose due to discussions over security-related issues, the matter has now been clarified after communication between the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

As a result, Bangladeshi sports journalists are set to be present at the T20 World Cup, covering the event directly from the venues.
