Ekushey award winner Ziaul Hoque accorded reception in Bholahat

Md. Ziaul Hoque who got Ekushey award this year for his social work was accorded reception at a college at Bholahat upazila of the district here yesterday.

Mushribhuja Yusuf Ali School and College arranged the reception programme on the premises of the institution.

Held with the president of the college governing body Md. Alauddin in the chair, the function was attention among others by Awami League leader Golam Md Fitu Mia, Chairman of Daldali Union Parishad Md. Mozammel Hoque Chutu, former principal of the college Md. Abdus Sattar, Bir Muktijoddha Md. Afsar Hossain and others.

This is to be mentioned that Ziaul Hoque established a library at his house for the poor students and also used to give stipends to the poor meritorious students from his own income from selling curd.

He established the library with the slogan "Bechi doi kini boi."
