National Film Award-winning singer Nazmun Munira Nancy has addressed a public letter to the government, highlighting the challenges faced by playback artists in the film industry. The letter, shared on Facebook late Monday night, urges authorities to ensure proper recognition and facilities for musicians involved in films.

Nancy points out that although playback artists receive numerous awards, they are not considered official film artists by BFDC and are denied membership in many existing film organizations. She advocates the establishment of a dedicated office for playback artists at BFDC, along with full access to all benefits and opportunities.

Her appeal emphasizes that recognizing the contributions of playback artists and providing structured support would not only honor their work but also strengthen the cultural and artistic landscape of the national film industry.
