After a long gap of two decades, BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman is visiting Naogaon today. He will address a public rally at the ATIM Field in the district. His visit has created a festive atmosphere among BNP leaders and activists in Naogaon.
Tarique Rahman, the eldest son of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, last visited Naogaon on 5 June 2006. On that occasion, he attended and spoke at a rally in Sapahar upazila of the district.
This time, his visit has generated widespread enthusiasm and excitement among party leaders and workers. A vibrant atmosphere has spread across Naogaon Sadar and all 11 upazilas of the district. Ordinary people are eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of Tarique Rahman in person and to listen to his speech.
All eyes are now on the ATIM Field in Naogaon. According to Naogaon district BNP General Secretary Mamunur Rahman, Tarique Rahman is scheduled to address the rally at 5:30 pm today at the ATIM Field. Local BNP leaders said that during the rally, Tarique Rahman will introduce the party’s nominated candidates to the public. At the same time, he will present BNP’s political commitments and future plans to the people of the country.
It is worth noting that Tarique Rahman’s visit to Naogaon was finalised on 25 January. Central and local BNP leaders inspected the rally venue on that day. BNP Central Committee Organising Secretary Advocate Syed Shahin Shawkot visited several key locations in Naogaon town. Following the inspection, the historic ATIM Field of Naogaon KD Government High School was finalised as the venue for the rally. Later, Advocate Syed Shahin Shawkot formally confirmed the rally at a press conference held at a hotel in Naogaon town.
Meanwhile, all necessary preparations have been completed, including ensuring the highest level of security, ahead of Tarique Rahman’s visit.
