The Election Commission of Bangladesh has announced that most results of the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum will be published by Friday morning.

Speaking at a briefing on Wednesday, Election Commissioner Brigadier General (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah said the commission is working to ensure quick and transparent result publication. He expressed confidence that the majority of constituencies will have final results by Friday.

To ensure transparency, journalists and both local and international observers will be allowed access to polling centers. The commission believes this will enhance public trust in the electoral process.

Regarding overseas voters, the commissioner said the postal ballot system is a new experience for the commission. However, efforts are underway to ensure effective participation of expatriate voters.

Meanwhile, EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed stated that vote counting will be completed by 10 a.m. on Friday. He dismissed rumors that counting may take several days, saying all ballots will be counted efficiently.

He also announced that all forms of election campaigning will end before polling day, including online and social media campaigns, which will be closely monitored.

The commission expressed satisfaction with the current law and order situation, although it condemned recent incidents of election-related violence.

Officials hope the election will be conducted peacefully and strengthen democratic governance in the country.
