arhad Hossain Azad Inaugurates MASTUL Tube-Well Program

MASTUL Foundation has launched a tube-well installation program in various areas of Panchagarh to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water and protect public health. Mr. Farhad Hossain Azad, MP, Hon’ble State Minister for Water Resources of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, attended the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, State Minister for Water Resources Farhad Hossain Azad said, “People’s lives, health, and livelihoods are directly connected to water. A safe water source can significantly reduce the daily hardships of a family. Particularly in reaching people in remote areas with access to clean water, the combined efforts of government agencies, private organizations, and voluntary institutions are extremely important.”

He further said, “MASTUL Foundation’s initiative for the people of Panchagarh will play a positive role in developing safe water infrastructure at the local level. Such initiatives directly address people’s needs and create tangible changes in social development.”

Abu Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Additional Chief Executive Officer of MASTUL Foundation, said, “We believe humanitarian assistance is most effective when it is directly connected to people’s basic needs. Through the installation of tube-wells in Panchagarh, we aim to provide access to safe water to families for whom a reliable water source can make a significant difference in their daily lives.”

He further said, “We view this initiative in Panchagarh as an ongoing program. Remaining close to the people and implementing needs-based and sustainable humanitarian initiatives is the goal of MASTUL Foundation.”

Local elected representatives, government officials, distinguished members of society, media representatives, and local residents attended the inauguration ceremony. Following the event, the tube-well installation program was formally launched.

MASTUL Foundation is a government-registered, non-profit, non-political, and voluntary humanitarian organization in Bangladesh, registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau under the Prime Minister’s Office. For more than a decade, the organization has been working for the welfare of disadvantaged people and children.Its notable initiatives include burial services during the COVID-19 pandemic; relief distribution during the floods of 2022, 2024, and 2026; nationwide tree plantation campaigns; employment and livelihood opportunities through the ‘Zakat Self-Reliance’ program; tube-well installation; mosque reconstruction; and the ‘Mehmankhana’ initiative, which provides free meals every day at various locations across Dhaka.The foundation has also provided international humanitarian assistance in response to the earthquake in Türkiye and humanitarian crises in Gaza and Sudan. In Hazaribagh, Dhaka, the organization operates its own madrasa, shelter home, and orphanage.
