BMCCI Delegation Meets Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi

The Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) marked a notable moment in Bangladesh-Malaysia business relations as its delegation met Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi during the opening of the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) in Kuala Lumpur on September 25.

Following the inauguration of the internationally renowned trade exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi shared a memorable moment with BMCCI Vice President Arfatur Rahman Apel, taking a selfie with him.

The high-profile event brought together government leaders, economic experts and leading business representatives from more than 100 countries. A 16-member BMCCI delegation from Bangladesh participated in the international trade showcase.

During the visit, members of the BMCCI delegation held discussions with senior officials of the Malaysian government and international business leaders on expanding bilateral trade, creating new investment opportunities and increasing joint ventures between Bangladesh and Malaysia.

The delegation later held a special meeting with officials of the Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia. Discussions focused on a range of important issues, including facilitating bilateral trade and business, increasing remittance flows and reducing the trade imbalance between the two countries.

BMCCI leaders expressed hope that such international engagements would further strengthen economic relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia and create new opportunities for Bangladeshi businesses to access international markets.
