AL leader hacked to death in Cumilla

A local Awami League leader was hacked to death by miscreants at Narayandia union of Titas upazila of Cumilla district on Monday afternoon over previous enmity.

The deceased was identified as Mustafa Kamal, AL general secretary of ward no.9 of Vitikandi Union of the upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Titas Police Station Kanchan Kanti Das said unidentified miscreants hacked Mustafa to death over previous enmity at Nayachar village of Narayandia uion of the upazila at around 3pm.

On information police recovered the body and it will be sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning for autops, the official said.

The OC said police continue its drive to nab the accused persons involved in the killing.
