Narayanganj tyre factory still burning

A fire that broke out in a tyre manufacturing factory in Rupganj of Narayanganj on Sunday (August 25) night remained uncontrolled.

Kakali Akter, control room duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, on Monday (August 26) morning said the fire erupted in Gazi Tyre Factory in Rupsi area around 10:30pm.

Later, 12 units of the firefighters rushed to the spot and were working to douse the blaze, she said.

However, the origin of the fire and casualties could not be known immediately, she added.
