A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking its directives on reforms in the secondary school education system.

The petition demands the formation of an investigation committee to identify those responsible for creating flawed curricula and calls for the suspension of the current curriculum from 2025.

Supreme Court lawyer Kamrul Hasan filed the writ in the public interest on Tuesday (August 27).

The petition names Education Secretary, Chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), Director General of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSI) and the Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education as respondents.

The High Court bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Muhammad Mahbub Ul Islam is scheduled to hear the petition.
