Supreme Court Advocate Mohammad Tazul Islam has been appointed as the chief prosecutor with the status of Attorney General to conduct the cases of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT).
Four prosecutors were also appointed according to section 7 of the International Crimes (Tribunal) Act, 1973, said a gazette notification issued today (September 8) by the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry.
Advocate Md Mizanul Islam was appointed as a prosecutor with the status of additional attorney general while Advocate Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim and Advocate BM Sultan Mahmud were appointed as prosecutors with the status of deputy attorney general.
Besides, Advocate Abdullah Al Noman was appointed as prosecutor with the status of assistant attorney general.
