Captain Rajib was killed

Captain Rajib was killed after knowing the information about the BDR murder. Later the then administration promoted this killing as suicide. During the torture, Rajib received a call from his phone at home, clearly indicating that he was being tortured. Although the hotel where Rajib was killed was a 10-minute walk from his house, he received a call from Bogra Cantonment after 15 minutes that Rajib was no longer in this world, which is mysterious. The deceased's family demanded that the present government reveal the secret of the real incident.

On behalf of the deceased's family, his great-uncle Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam made this claim at a press conference organized at the National Press Club on Tuesday (September 17) afternoon.
Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam said that there is a connection between the murder of BDR and the murder of Captain Rajibul Haque. He said that the tragic planned murder of BDR and the murder of Captain Rajeev in Pilkhana on February 25, 2009, are related to the same source. Those who committed the Pilkhana murders were the ones who killed Captain Rajeev and promoted his death as suicide as a part of covering up the truth of the murders. They fear that a honey trap was used behind this murder.

According to the source of the incident, they also said that in October 2008, Captain Rajiv told his mother that he was involved in an incident but did not do anything wrong. Three or four people have tricked him into a matter. He did not say the reason for the incident. It is a highly confidential matter and may be investigated soon. So he has to leave the country in the meantime.

Referring to the tragic BDR murder in Pilkhana on February 25, 2009, exactly 6 months after this conversation, Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam said, that shortly after this murder, on March 7, 2009, Captain Rajiv was called and killed in a trick at Hotel Rajmoney Ishakha, and On the same day (March 7) in the afternoon, an attempt was made to run over his younger sister Raifa Haque. But he luckily survived.

He said that on the day of the incident, Rajib left for the Rajarbagh counter of the Greenline bus at around 11 am to return to his workplace in Bogra Cantonment. On the way, Rajib received a phone call near his home, and in that phone call, he informed that he would reach Rajmoni Hotel in five minutes. After which the driver told Rajib's mother. Rajiv was called to the hotel that day and brutally tortured and killed. The torture disfigured his face, which was then witnessed by thousands of onlookers. He demanded an investigation into the phone call by stating who called Rajiv on the day of the incident and why he was suddenly forced to go to the hotel by changing his destination.

On the day of the incident, a call was received from Rajib's phone at Rajib's house at 7 pm, when his younger sister Raifa picked it up, she heard Rajib's voice on the other end shouting "Ammu Ammu" and also heard some people saying "Ball ball". "Something like that. Raifa immediately let her mother listen to the phone and Rajiv's mother got very upset hearing the sound on the phone. Then the phone line was cut. Just 15 minutes after that, Rajib's uncle received a call from Bogra Cantonment to inform him that Rajib was no more in this world.

He said that several months after the murder, two members of the three-member army investigation team told Rajib's family that Rajib had been killed and that they knew who had killed him. However, in the context of the situation at that time, they expressed their inability to tell Rajiv's family more than that.

Claiming that Captain Rajib did not commit suicide, Professor Md. Shafiqul Islam said that there were clear marks of injury in different parts of his body. During the post-mortem examination, it was seen that Ravettar's teeth were broken in his mouth. Besides, Rajib's throat, wrists, and ankles were cut which I and several others in my family saw with our own eyes.
The press conference was also attended by the deceased Rajibul's uncle Roknuzzaman, Abdus Sabur Raja, aunt Ferdowsi Parveen, Khalu Saukat Ali, and other family members. Prof Md Shafiqul Islam, elder uncle of the deceased, said that they could not attend the press conference as their mother and younger sister live outside the country.
