Six members of a family have died in a fire that broke out at an Ashrayan Project house in Sunamganj's Dharmapasha upazila.

The victims were identified as Emarul, 50, his wife Pori Aktar, and their four children: Polash, Farhad, Fatema Begum, and Omar Faruk, according to Md Enamul Haque, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dharmapasha Police Station.

"The incident occurred late Monday (30 September) night at the government-run Ashrayan Project in the Shimer Khal area under Jayashree Union," OC Enamul Haque said.
