Emergency Warning for Illegal Foreign Nationals

A significant number of citizens from various countries, including India, are residing and working in Bangladesh without valid documentation.

Based on various complaints, the current government has decided to take action against these illegal foreign residents. An urgent warning has been issued, urging them to regularize their legal status promptly.

According to a warning notice issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday (8 December), the following information has been made public:

1. It has been reported from various sources that many foreign nationals are residing in Bangladesh illegally and are working unlawfully in different establishments. All such foreign nationals are hereby requested to immediately regularize their stay or employment in Bangladesh by obtaining the necessary documentation.

2. The notice further states that failure to comply with this directive will result in legal action being taken against them.
