The Supreme Judicial Council has completed its investigation into allegations against several judges of the higher court for acting as accomplices to fascism. The findings and recommendations have already been sent to the President.

This information was published on the Supreme Court's website on Sunday morning (December 15). According to protocol, the President will now implement the recommendations of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Earlier, on December 4, the Supreme Court stated in another notice that the Supreme Judicial Council was conducting a preliminary investigation into allegations of misconduct against several judges and that progress had been made in the investigation.

It is noteworthy that during an anti-discrimination protest and demonstration by students on the Supreme Court premises on October 16, demands were made for the resignation of judges accused of being accomplices to the fallen Awami League government. On that day, the Supreme Court administration announced the decision to withdraw 12 High Court judges from bench duties. These judges are currently not performing judicial duties and are on leave.

The judges are: Justice Ataur Rahman Khan, Justice Naima Haider, Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif, Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar, Justice Ashish Ranjan Das, Justice Khizir Hayat, Justice S.M. Moniruzzaman, Justice Khondker Diliruzzaman, Justice Shahed Nuruddin, Justice Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Justice Md. Aminul Islam, and Justice S.M. Masud Hossain Dolon.
