Interim government law advisor Professor Dr Asif Nazrul stated that many false cases are being filed in courts. A separate cell will be established within seven days to provide legal assistance, including cases related to the martyrs of the July Revolution.

He made these remarks at an event in the Dhaka division on Monday (30 December), when financial aid checks were distributed to over a hundred martyr families as part of the second phase of support.

The law advisor mentioned that numerous false cases are being filed in courts, with some people filing cases before the martyr families themselves to claim monetary compensation. This needs to be stopped.

Asif Nazrul announced that the Ministry of Law would set up a dedicated cell within seven days to provide legal support, including for cases related to the July Revolution martyrs.

Earlier at the same event, Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhter expressed concern, stating that many martyr families are still receiving threats, which is deeply unfortunate. She assured the families of support, adding, "Sheikh Hasina's trial will be held on this soil."

Environmental Advisor Syeda Rizwana Hasan remarked, "There is no division of 'us' or 'them.' However, attempts to create division are ongoing. Therefore, all martyr families must remain vigilant. In this journey, we must win. There is no alternative to victory.''

At the event, Sarjis Alam, the chief organizer of the National Citizens' Committee and General Secretary of the July Martyrs' Memorial Foundation, stated, ''The families of the martyrs of the student-people uprising do not seek financial aid; they seek justice for the killings."
