The price of fuel oil will not increase in March. As a result, the prices of diesel, kerosene, octane, and petrol will remain unchanged this month. The government adjusts fuel prices automatically every month based on international market rates.

On Saturday (March 1), the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources shared this information.

Officials from the Energy and Mineral Resources Department mentioned that, due to the rise in oil prices in the international market, there was a possibility of an increase in fuel prices in the country this month. However, due to the current domestic situation, the government decided not to risk increasing prices. As a result, no price adjustment was made in line with the international market.

According to sources from the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), since last March, the price of fuel oil has been automatically determined following international market prices. The government announces new prices every month based on this system.

Under the current price structure, the prices are as follows: diesel at Tk 105 per litre, kerosene at Tk 105, octane at Tk 126, and petrol at Tk 122.
