The election of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Association of Certification Bodies (BACB) for the term 2025 - 2027 was held on March 10, 2025, at Uttara Club, Dhaka.

 

According to the election result, the Association has elected 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫, 𝐃𝐆, 𝐁𝐒𝐓𝐈, Mr. Selim Shahed, Managing Director, Global Certification BD, as the President of BACB.

 

Mr. Ahashan Habib, Managing Director, AGS Quality Action Limited, was elected as the Secretary-General and Vice President. Mr. Ataur Rahman, Treasurer, Mr. Abdul Kader, Director, United Certification, and the other 6 ex officio members were respectively elected as Members of the EC.

 

The BACB Election 2025 was held with an Election Commission formed with eminent professionals and highly esteemed independent Members.

 

The Election Commissioner was Mr. Abu Abdullah, Ex. Director General (Additional Secratey), Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB).

 

BACB (Bangladesh Association of Certification Bodies) is an industry association that represents accredited certification bodies (also referred to as Conformity Assessment Bodies) across a broad range of certification markets. BACB assists its members by promoting the use of accredited certification, represents its members in liaising with accreditation and industry bodies, and supports the continual improvement of certification schemes and regulatory frameworks to deliver the best possible outcomes for end users of third-party certification.
