Chief Advisor to Present Independence Award Tomorrow

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, will present the Independence Award-2025 on Tuesday, March 25th.

The awards will be presented at 10:30 AM at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.

This information was released in a press statement by the Department of Information on Sunday, March 23rd.

This year, seven distinguished individuals are receiving the Independence Award in recognition of their glorious and meritorious contributions at the national level.

The Cabinet Division issued a notification on March 11th, listing the nominees for the highest state award.

The recipients of the Independence Award are:

Professor Jamal Nazrul Islam (posthumous) in Science and Technology
Mir Abdus Shukur Al Mahmud (posthumous) in Literature
Novera Ahmed (posthumous) in Culture
Sir Fazle Hasan Abed (posthumous) in Social Service
Mohammad Mahbubul Haque Khan alias Azam Khan (posthumous) in Liberation War and Culture
Badruddin Muhammad Umar in Education and Research
Abrar Fahad (posthumous) in Youth Resistance.
