During a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match, Tamim suddenly suffered a heart attack. He has already had a stent inserted into his heart and is currently under the care of doctors. It has been confirmed that he has regained consciousness and is now speaking with his family members, who rushed him to the hospital.

This update was shared by CCDM coordinator Sabbir Ahmed Rubel, who confirmed that Tamim is conscious and has communicated with his family members.

Additionally, Dr Rajib, a physician at the KPG Specialized Hospital in Savar (formerly Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hospital), provided further details on Tamim's condition.

He explained, "Tamim suffered a heart attack, for which an angiogram, angioplasty, and strengthening procedure were performed. Everything went smoothly and efficiently, and Dr. Maruf, our cardiologist, carried out the procedure. The block has been completely removed now."

He added, "As we previously mentioned, his condition was initially critical, but he is now under observation. It will take some time for a full recovery. We are doing everything possible to help him."

It has been reported that after the toss on Monday morning, Tamim experienced mild chest pain, which he quickly reported to the team's physiotherapist and trainer. Initially, it was thought to be a gastric issue, and he took gastric medication. However, when his condition did not improve, he was promptly transferred to a nearby hospital for further care. After treatment, he returned to BKSP.

As his condition worsened, further measures were taken. Discussions were held with the team manager, Shipon Bhai, and arrangements were made for his transfer via helicopter to a hospital for advanced treatment.

However, as the situation became more critical, he was taken back to the nearby KPG Hospital and Nursing College. After undergoing necessary tests, a blockage in his heart was identified.
