Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has confirmed that preparations for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election are on track, with key tasks such as updating the voter list and redefining constituency boundaries progressing smoothly.

Returning to his office on Sunday (April 6) after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, the CEC addressed election officials and exchanged Eid greetings. Present at the gathering were all four election commissioners, the senior secretary of the Election Commission (EC), and other high-ranking officials.

Commending the officials for their swift and effective execution of the door-to-door voter registration campaign, Nasir Uddin said, "You have accomplished what many would consider impossible. Completing the voter enrollment process in such a short period is truly commendable."

He further noted that all aspects of the election process, including the issuance of National ID cards and boundary redefinition, are proceeding efficiently. "You are doing excellent work," he said, adding that regular updates are being shared with the government.

According to the latest data, the total number of registered voters in Bangladesh now stands at 123,732,274. The ongoing voter list updating process is expected to conclude by April 11.
