Boats fined for violating code of conduct in Lakshmipur

In Lakshmipur-2 (Raipur-Sadar partial) constituency, boat workers were fined Tk 25,000 in three separate raids for violating the electoral code of conduct.
On Thursday (December 21) afternoon, the mobile court raided the residence of boat candidate and Awami League leader Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan, Dalal Bazar of Sadar Upazila and Raipur of the district.
It has been confirmed that the operation of mobile court at night from the office of District Returning Officer and District Commissioner.
It is known that the candidate of the boat symbol of Laxmipur-2 Constituency Nuruddin Chowdhury Nayan was entertained at the election office in the municipal town on Thursday (December 21) at noon. The news was published in various media about the matter.
Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate conducted the mobile court in the afternoon for violating the code of conduct by organizing a feast. Maqbul Hossain.
He said that the representative of the boat symbol candidate was fined Tk 10,000 for serving food to the voters in the election camp.
Meanwhile, an operation was conducted in the Dalal Bazar union of the same parliamentary seat to enforce the electoral code of conduct.
At that time, the representative of the boat symbol candidate was fined 5000 as per Section 18(1) of the Election Code of Conduct for putting up a banner in violation of Section 7(3) of the Election Code of Conduct.
Raipur upazila under the same seat was conducted by the mobile court. At this time, the representative of the boat symbol candidate was fined Tk 10,000 for campaigning by placing posters and banners on the microbus. At this time, colorful banners and billboards related to the election have been removed.
