The Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, has said that June 30 is the fixed date for the election and that it will not be extended beyond this point.

He made the statement while speaking to journalists outside the Chief Adviser’s residence, Jamuna, at around 10:30 pm on Saturday (May 24).

During the briefing, a journalist asked when the government would provide the specific roadmap sought by three political parties.

In response, the Press Secretary said, “Professor Yunus has repeatedly stated that the election will be held between December and June. This June 30 date is a clear and specific deadline. He has said it will not go beyond that. He is a man of his word.”

Earlier, delegations from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the NCP held a meeting with the Chief Adviser.
