A total of 123 undocumented Bangladeshi nationals, mostly human trafficking victims, were repatriated from Libya to Dhaka today (19 June) on a special Buraq Air chartered flight.

The return was coordinated by the Foreign Ministry, Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, Expatriates' Welfare Ministry, and the IOM. Upon arrival, the returnees received cash aid, food, medical care, and shelter.

Officials urged them to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal migration, while efforts continue to repatriate more detained Bangladeshis from Libya.
