Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the interim government, has called for turning July into a month of mass awakening and unity.

He made the statement on Tuesday (1 July) during the inauguration of a month-long programme commemorating the July uprising at his office in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

The Chief Adviser said that through this series of programmes, a symbolic day from last year will be revived throughout July and August. He added that a renewed pledge will be taken to fulfill the goals for which young students, the public, rickshaw pullers, workers, and teenagers were martyred and injured. He emphasised that the event will be held annually to ensure that no dictatorship can rise anywhere.

He further expressed hope for the success of the July-August revival programme, saying that through these initiatives, the people's will be awakened anew, and unity will become comprehensive and unbreakable.
