Home Affairs Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury announced that the number of law enforcement personnel will be increased at every polling station for the upcoming general election. Eighty thousand army personnel will be on the ground during the election.

He made the statement while briefing reporters on Monday, August 11, after inspecting the Teghoria High School polling center in the Dhaka-3 parliamentary constituency in Keraniganj.

The Home Affairs Adviser said that a fair election is possible with the current law enforcement forces. He added that the number of police and Ansar members, along with other law enforcement personnel, will be increased at every polling center for the upcoming national election.
