Ecnec approves 10 new projects worth Tk 6,500 crore

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) approved 10 development projects on Sunday, with a total estimated cost of Tk 6,506.50 crore, reports UNB.

Of this total, Tk 3,821.58 crore will be financed by the government, Tk 2,428.04 crore will come through project loans, and Tk 256.89 crore will be sourced from the implementing agency's own funds.

The approval was granted during an Ecnec meeting chaired by Chief Adviser and Ecnec Chairperson Prof. Muhammad Yunus at the NEC Conference Room.

The approved projects include five new initiatives, two revised ones, and three that have been extended without additional costs.
