Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul said there is no scope to delay the national election beyond the timeline announced by Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus.

Speaking at the Secretariat on Tuesday (August 19), he said political parties have shown no qualitative improvement, as reflected in their political rhetoric, but emphasized the Interim Government’s firm commitment to holding the election on time.

He also added that legislation based on recommendations for reforming the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Election Commission will be enacted within a month or two.
